Meet Our Agent: Herbert

Getting to know our agents! There is a great team behind RE/MAX 1st Choice #Belize. This week's agent is Herbert!

He's originally from Austria, Europe. He moved first to Australia and then to Belize in 2008. From his background in Marine Biology and pharmacology, he moved on to being a fundraising and then marketing manager, worked for over 20 years as a dive instructor, operated a restaurant as chef and owner and finally being a property manager for short and long term rentals as well as realtor with RE/MAX.

This pretty much sums up who he is - he loves to travel, loves to dive and always open to learn and develop further to take up new challenges.

What made you move to Belize?

Being in the tropics on the second largest Barrier reef with amazing nature and wildlife, English speaking, allowing foreigners to own property, being political stable, tied to the US$ and offering quite straight forward immigration rules (everyone who doesn´t believe it may try in other countries), Belize offered what made me move and stay.

Why did you choose the real estate business?

Having a vast knowledge about the area and having made very different experiences with realtors I felt that this field is where I can offer what happy clients would be looking for to make a decision based on the comfort of trust.
