Team Theresa is committed to giving back.
You may occasionally lose sight of what is crucial when you are working tirelessly to fulfill your clients' goals and dreams. My immediate family and I have been treated incredibly well by this lovely small gem in Central America, and we are forever thankful. Giving back is important to us at Team Theresa, a RE/MAX 1st Choice Belize company.
This year, we started the Speed Bump Challenge and began painting the speed bumps that were no longer visible. Phew! That is difficult job; my muscles are aching all over. We have so far completed four bumps, but the rain has very much put a halt to the game. The locals noticed the initiative, two hotels, and one Realtor funded us to do the bumps at their businesses too. Subsequently, the Roads department has subsequently installed cats eyes and reflectors Woohoo! Victory for us and a safer road for commuters.
We also helped with a fun day and “Potjiekos” competition with part proceeds going to a lovely young lady that deals with feral cats and other animals in need.
This year has been a bit slow on the tablet drive, but we did manage to provide 8 children with their own tablets to be used for school work and shared amongst their siblings too. This is a on going endeavor. PSSST Coming to Belize? please bring a table it costs $100 and means an awful lot to kids in need in the villages. Bring it to us and we will refund you.
Not to be outdone, Talk to Theresa also provided clothing, books, and uniforms for a few families who approached us, along with the school fees for 20 more junior school students in the village. By the way, It costs just $100 USD to purchase three uniforms, shoes, a school bag, school fees, and books.. If you feel that you want to make a change, consider it.
We also contributed to our absolutely marvelous junior sailing club. You should really spend some time down at the point and watch these enthusiastic youngsters, the future yacht captains of Belize.
Feeling blessed in Belize, my new home.
